It is not a summer program or an after-school club. It is a structured, documented, mentor-intensive multi-year commitment.

Pipeline Structure

Discovery Phase (ages 12–14): Exposure to DTC research areas — energy, medical, food, manufacturing, civic tech
Exploration Phase (ages 14–16): Structured project assignment with a mentor in a specific DTC domain
Contribution Phase (ages 16–18): Meaningful contribution to an active DTC product or research initiative
Leadership Phase (ages 18–22): Lead a project team, mentor junior students, develop entrepreneurial competencies
Placement Phase: Career, apprenticeship, university, or DTC-affiliated startup — tracked and supported
Alumni Network: Graduates stay connected and become mentors in the next pipeline cycle

Mentor Qualifications

Active participation in a DTC research or product area — not classroom teachers only
